Definition

The Analyze Phase is the third phase of a DMAIC project. This is typically where the Transfer Function is idenified, which quantifies the relationship between process inputs (X's) and the process output of interest (Y). Tools used include Regression Analysis, Analysis of Means, Multi-Vari Charts, other graphical tools, Design of Experiments, and Hypothesis Testing.
