Definition

The Measure Phase is the second phase of a DMAIC project. In this phase, the process performance is baselined, metrics are established and a project plan is formulated. Additionally, a Measurement System Analysis (MSA) is conducted and "wisdom of the organization" (Breyfogle, 2003) is gathered.
