Definition

A term used to identify a key stakeholder in the outcome of a Lean / Six Sigma project. This is usually the supervisor or manager of the process that is the subject of the Lean Six Sigma project. If the process owner is not a member of the project team, it will be critical for the team leader (Black Belt or Green Belt) to get the process owner's support and buy-in every step of the way through the life of the project.
