Definition
An acronym for Define-Measure-Analyze-Design-Verify, steps in a Design for Six Sigma project.
While DMADV is a popular DFSS roadmap, there has been no agreement by professional societies, corporations, consultants and practitioners on a single definitive roadmap. All roadmaps follow a procress similar to that of DMADV but use a variety of different terms to show emphasis. Some example variants are shown in the table in the Notes section below.
