Propagation of Error

Go Back

Definition

A numerical technique used in response surface methods to identify the areas of robustness or ‘flats’ on a response surface – the high plateaus of product/process quality and efficiency where variance transmitted by the input Factors is minimized.

Thus, propagation of error helps reduces variation transmitted to the response from variation in the Inputs.
